Back on track – BionicOldGuy
My training is finally back on track after recent issues like sciatica. I’ll try to post more often now, I think I’m a little worn out, maybe because I’m a little discouraged. I’m doing a lot of PT, stretching and strengthening, for the muscles around my lower back and hip area so hopefully no more slippage. I’m back to about two hours of exercise a day on average, including cycling, upper body strength work and PT. So far so good!
On Friday I rode upright to the Coyote Creek Trail, but I rode upright on the dirt trails nearby instead of the paved trail. These have been used very little, I think they are intended more for riding, but they are also great for bikes as long as you have wide enough tires. I can stand upright again for longer periods of time, which I find a fun alternative to sitting.
Yesterday he returned to lying on a trip to the hills southwest of the city. Cruising at a decent speed, around 18 mph (~30 km/h) or so, with a little electric assist, is exciting.
