Sports Interactive announced that in 2025 a popular football manager had been canceled.
The company originally targeted the release date in early November, but pushed it later in the month after citing a “challenging” development cycle. Then a further delay was announced in October, but now they have completely withdrawn the plug in this year’s edition.
Sports Interactive said that everyone who wanted to ask for their original pre -orders would allow it to do so.
Now the game fans will have to wait until the next edition, which the company says are putting “all the efforts” to live.
The statement was: “A sports interactive regret that he informed that, after an extensive internal discussion and careful consideration with SEG, we made a difficult decision to cancel a football manager 25 and transfer the focus to the next edition.
“For a large number of you who ordered the FM25 in advance, we very much thank you for your trust and support – we are very sorry to have failed you.
“We know this will come as a great disappointment, especially since the release date has moved twice, and you have eagerly expected that the first discovery of playing.
“We can only apologize for the time we needed to make this decision. Today was the earliest date we could issue this statement.
“We have always been proud to have delivered the best value for money for money that bring you countless hours of enjoyment, which feel worth every moment and every penny you spend. With the launch of the FM25 we intended to create the greatest technical and visual progress in the generation series, setting up, setting up building blocks for the new era.
“We could press, let FM25 in their current state and fix things down – but this is not right to do. We were also not willing to cross March because it would be too late in the football season to expect players then buy another game later in year.
“Through the cancellation, all efforts are focused on the insurance that our next edition achieves our goal and achieve the level of quality we all expect. We will update you about how we are making progress as soon as we manage to do so.”
The FM25 was supposed to be the first edition of the series that used a new unity engine, while women’s football was also supposed to be introduced to the game for the first time.
