Common administrators Inverness Caledonian Thistle say “the future of the club is now exposed to a significant risk” after not receiving bids for the purchase of the Scottish League of the one by the end of this month.
In a statement, BDO said there was a “strong level of interest of several sides”, but none appeared until March 6.
Among these reasons were: current levels of former directors’ loans (about £ 3.5 million in total), the nature of different stakes of a club that affects the potential customer who have appropriate control and insecurity over the ownership of the country surrounding the stadium.
Common administrators say “it seems that sales transaction cannot be realized in the absence of new parties and the future of the club is now exposed to a significant risk.”
As for the concern set, BDO wrote to former directors asking them to write off their loans, and some got along and others on hold. In order to solve concerns about different stakes, some agreed to return the shares to the club after a letter of common administrators, and others will be announced this week.
Former Chairman Alan Savage – who has secured a financing of around one million pounds for a club that will see this season – he also said he would be willing to pay a 25 percent price to buy a club and provide 25 percent of the funds needed for the next two seasons – if the other parties appear.
The Inverness CT was placed in the administration in October, and head Duncan Ferguson worked for free before leaving after meeting with administrators.
The club was hit by a deduction of 15 points that left them in the lower place at a minus three points. However, they are now the eighth, two points above the ninth and 23 clear from the lower side of Dumbarton, which also entered the administration this season and had a similar deduction of points.
BDO spokesman said: “We appreciate that this latest update will disappoint for players, fans and wider community.
“Given what has been achieved in both the field and outside the tone throughout the administration period, we would very much want to see the sale of the club to ensure that his future has been secured and we would encourage all parties to cooperate in this endeavor.
“We are grateful for the constant financial support of Alan Savage and we would ask all interested parties to appear with the aim of gaining the club. Jas would welcome the opportunity to discuss and provide a guide regarding an acceptable price.”
