Carrie Underwood pays tribute to Randy Travis on Opry 100: Live Celebration

Carrie Underwood He moved the crowd to the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry on Wednesday night.
Underwood entered the stage at an event called OPRY 100: Live Celebration, in honor of Randy Travis, who welcomed her as a member of Grand Ole Opry 17 years ago. 2008.
Underwood began to pay tribute to Travis, sharing the story of his childhood. She said her sister had a tape of travis tape and once she took her hand, she “never” returned her.

Five years after that, Travis had a stroke that made him almost unable to sing.
On Wednesday night, Underwood performed Travis’ “Three Wood Crosses” and “Forever and Forever, Amen.”
In the end “forever and forever, Amen”, Underwood approached Travis in the crowd and gave him a microphone to sing closing, “Amen”, which moved the audience in tears.
“Randy Travis everyone.”
“Randy Travis everyone,” Underwood said before hugging the legend of country music. The audience immediately got back on their feet and gave Underwood and Travis standing ovation.
Fans headed for social media to weigh up on a moving performance.
“I don’t cry,” one user wrote to x, Formerly known as Twitter, while including a clip of Underwood and Travis’s moment.

Grand Ole Opry shared a post about Travis that built Underwood into a family 17 years ago.
“We will never forget the moment when Randy invited Carrie to the family,” the account wrote, including a 2008 photo.
Underwood rose after winning the “American Idol” in 2005. Her debut album “Some Hearts” was released the same year and included the hit “Before cheating”.

The official 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry is November, and the County Music House will celebrate all year.

Underwood attended country music ceremony in a lavish black one shoulder dress. The bottom of the dress was clean and had a dramatic train.

The legend of country music approached her appearance with a couple of earrings.
Country music ceremony also included performances by Jelly Roll, Reba Mcentire, Post Malone, Trace Adkins, Lainey Wilson and Kelsea Ballerini.
