Palestinians killed in new Israeli Gaza strikes, says Hamas’s agency
At least 55 Palestinians were killed overnight of Israeli air strikes in Gaza, the Hamas Civil Protection Agency said.
It comes after Israel has continued its campaign this week with bombing and terrestrial operations in the territory, and air attacks were killed by more than 430 people over two days, according to the Hamas Ministry.
Hamas says that the earthly operation posted by Israel on Wednesday is a “new and dangerous” violation of the tribute agreement, which began in January. Israel continued its attacks on Tuesday because conversations on the extension of the agreement failed to progress.
Israel warned that the attacks would intensify in Gaza until Hamas announced the remaining hostages.
Israel says Hamas still holds 59 hostages, 24 of whom believe he is alive.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that they started “targeted field activities” to create what it called “a partial clipboard between the north and the south” in Gaza. The action called “limited soil operations”.
Idf spokesman Col Avichay Adraee said the forces are arranged to the center of the tape known as the Netzarim corridor that divides the north and southern Gaza.
On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he “continued the fight in full strength”, and all of the trial negotiations will now happen “under fire”.
Israel and Hamas did not agree on how to take over the truce after the first phase, which expired on March 1.
Hamas did not agree to negotiate a fire trial in the growths, although he offered the release of living American hostages and four hostages as the mediators were trying to continue the truce.
In early March, Israel blocked all the food, fuel and medical equipment that entered Gaza to put pressure on hamas. He accused Hamas of commanding the provisions as part of his strategy against Israel, though without evidence.
The war was encouraged by Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed, mostly civilians, and 251 others took hostages. Twenty -five Israeli and five Thai hostages were released alive during the first phase of the tribute.
Israel responded to an attack in October with a massive military offensive, which killed more than 48,500 Palestinians, mostly civilians, before Israel continued its campaign, says Hamas’s Ministry of Health. The Israeli offensive also caused huge amounts of destruction of homes and infrastructure.
