Man Utd need to sell the moron who earns more than Fernandes

Manchester United they are in desperate need of action within the first team squad, be it arrivals or departures before the end of the month.

Reuben Amorim have been on the lookout for a new striker in recent weeks but are yet to agree a deal for a new talisman to follow in the footsteps of Viktor Gyokeres following his time under the 39-year-old at Sporting CP.

Randal Kolo Muani was the player most associated with the move at Old Trafford since the window opened, but no deal has yet been agreed for the France international.

Departures are also to be expected as the new boss looks to leave his mark on the playing squad, potentially offloading some Erik ten Haagsignatures that failed to impress.

The same cannot be said for one pair, who were arguably the shining lights of Amorim’s tenure at Old Trafford during his first few months in charge.

United stars since Amorim arrived

Amad Diallo was the player brought back into the fold following Amorim’s appointment after being left out in the cold by former boss Ten Hag – often only used as an impact player.

However, the white-haired man has become a regular starter in recent weeks, taking full advantage of his increased playing time, starring in the upper half of the pitch for the Red Devils.

The 22-year-old has been registered three goals and five assists in his last 12 appearances, with his most important strike arguably coming in the Manchester derby, scoring the winner against Pep Guardiola’s side.

As regards Bruno Fernandeshe was a key member of the Dutchman’s side during his own tenure in the North West, but has taken his performances to a higher level since his compatriot’s arrival.

United’s captain made the same number of appearances as Amad, registration of one goal contribution less – notched seven, including a goal last outing against Arsenal in their FA Cup triumph.

However, another player seems set for the exit door after failing to replicate the aforementioned stats and take his game to the next level under new management.

The player Man Utd should sell in January

Marcus Rashford is one player who will almost certainly leave his boyhood club in the next few weeks, after appearing not to be part of Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.

The Englishman has not played since the victory over Viktoria Plzen in early December, a real surprise considering his streak of three goals in just two league games after the arrival of the Amorites.

He has since been touted for moves to Borussia Dortmund, West Ham United and Napoli, but it still looks set to replace Manchester with Milan – with AC Milan is currently the favorite for his signature.

However, Rashford should not be the only one to leave the Theater of Dreams this month, as the hierarchy are desperate to land the Brazilian midfielder Casemiro out of pay.

32 year old cost the club £70 million back in the summer of 2022, but has been a disaster since signing, making just six appearances since the new boss took over.

His game against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup was his last, he looked too slow for the demands of the top-level talent, often being run over and bypassed in the middle of the park.

Casemiro is certainly not worthy of a first-team role at Old Trafford, nor does he deserve his insane salary, according to which he has an extraordinary pocket £350k a week.

With such a figure, he earns more than Fernandes, with the current captain of the Red Devils £300k a weekalong with the sought-after teammate, Rashford.

Given the club’s current cost-cutting operation, Casemiro – who Athletic reported who United would like to move off the wage bill – should be the first player to face a write-off, especially given that he is the highest earner of any player in the current squad.

If the club are to sign new stars this month, it is crucial that the current players are offloaded to free up funds, and the Brazilian is in desperate need of a move to prevent further losses.
