West Brom are looking for an “absolutely clinical” gem alongside Isaiah Jones
West Bromwich Albion they have now inquired about the “absolutely clinical” striker who is the son of a Baggies legend, according to the report.
The mid-season loss of Carlos Corberan to Valencia has undoubtedly dented West Brom’s chances of gaining promotion from Prioritybut they still remain in a strong position to return to the Premier League.
Albion are still in the play-offs under the caretaker trio of Chris Brunt, Damie Abella and Boaz Myhill, but will be hoping to bring in a new permanent manager as soon as possible to help their chances of finishing in the top six.
The likes of Swansea City’s Luke Williams and former Union Berlin boss Urs Fischer are in the running to take over at the Hawthorns, but no appointment is likely to be made before this weekend’s visit to AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

Although the Baggies are still without a permanent manager, they are still looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, with offer accepted for Isaiah Jonesand The Daily Mail report that they have now made contact over a potential deal for the striker.
West Brom have now inquired about the availability of Liverpool striker Lewis Koumaswho is currently on loan at another Championship team, Stoke City. Koumas will be a familiar name to the Albion faithful, with enigmatic midfielder Jason Koumas, Lewis’ father, having spent an impressive five years at The Hawthorns from 2002-07.
A number of Championship clubs are interested in signing the striker, who they believe could give them an edge in the promotion battle in the second half of the campaign, with Sheffield United and Watford also interested.

Jason Koumas has been a fantastic servant for the Baggies and his 19-year-old son is also showing signs of becoming a top-flight player, after Wales U21 manager Matty Jones praised him as an “absolutely clinical” striker.
The Wales international has mainly played on the wing for Stoke this season, showing his versatility and emerging as a key player, scoring three goals in 25 Championship appearances.
Koumas’ move to Stoke has probably been a good learning curve for the youngster, and he could now be ready to take the next step by moving to a team in the upper echelons of the Championship table.
