Real Madrid make a decision on their January pursuit of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid are starting to accept defeat in their bid to sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold in January, a report has revealed.
Alexander-Arnold is Madrid’s main target for the summer transfer window when, as it stands now, he will be a free agent, but The Spanish side tried their luck due to the reduced price move earlier this month to try to solve their defensive injury crisis.
Liverpool almost immediately refused the advance and left Madrid is considering another offer. According to Relevothe odds of another bid are incredibly slim, as Madrid accepting a January switch will be too difficult to pull off.
Not only are Liverpool rejecting the idea of selling Alexander-Arnold as they try to win the Premier League title, but the right-back has vowed not to force a move away from his boyhood club.
Alexander-Arnold also believes that a move to Spain in the middle of the season is not the wisest move for his career and therefore, with nobody at Anfield ready to listen MadridProposals for January are actually off.
News of Madrid’s failure to land Alexander-Arnold will not impress manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is said to be clashed with the authorities behind the scenes for their reluctance to invest in the team this month.
Dani Carvajal’s long-term injury has left Lucas Vazquez as the only recognized right-back in the squad, and Ancelotti has begun to accept the fact that there will be no reinforcements before the summer.
