Tommy Lee calls out celebrities promoting themselves during the California wildfires
Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee criticized artists who engage in self-promotion during California wildfires.
Lee, 62, took to social media earlier this week to condemn celebrities promoting albums and tours while Los Angeles was severely damaged by the wildfires.
“I’m fucking sick when I see most people [carrying] on social media posting!” Lee wrote on Instagram.

“Guys nobody cares right now — when your record drops or your next concert when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!”
He concluded his post by saying, “I realize there’s always comic relief [needed]but Jesus Christ leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can.”
Mötley Crüe paid tribute to those badly affected by the fires in Los Angeles, as Lee’s band shared their feelings on social media on January 9.
“To all those affected by the devastating and unprecedented wildfires in our hometown of Los Angeles, our thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.”

“May you and your loved ones stay safe as we fight together,” the band announced on Facebook.

Huge and deadly wildfires broke out in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, January 7, forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee for safety as their homes and businesses were destroyed.

Celebrities including Justine Batemancalled for Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Los Angeles officials to be removed from office amid the fire.
The actress insisted Newsom be removed after she shared a video of the California governor saying he wants to work with President-elect Trump to fight the wildfires.

“I really want other CA voters to see the lack of sincerity, rejection, commitment to pretentiousness, and disregard for concern for the citizens of California,” Bateman wrote on X.
“He always showed it. In every video. You can’t entrust a person like this with any role, especially not one on which our well-being depends,” she added. “Gavin Newsom needs to be removed before anything worse happens here.”
