Excitement grows for Opening ceremony of ILT20 2025 which will take place on January 11 at the Dubai International Stadium. This year’s event promises to be a spectacular fusion of cricket and Bollywood, with performances from some of the industry’s biggest stars.
Star performances at the ILT20 opening ceremony
The opening ceremony will begin at 19:30 IST with a glittering party. Shahid Kapoorknown for his dynamic dance moves and hit songs, will be emceeing the event Pooja Hegde and Sonam Bajwa. The trio is expected to perform their popular songs, culminating in an impressive fireworks display that will light up the skies of Dubai. Adding to the glamour, a famous Bollywood producer and actor Jacky Bhagnani will be the co-host of the ceremony with Ridhima Pathak.
Shahid expressed his delight at the event, saying, “The opening night promises a unique fusion of the best of Bollywood and the pinnacle of T20 cricket, set against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai International Stadium, known as the Ring of Fire.”

Opening match details
After the opening ceremony, the inaugural match of ILT20 2025 will begin at 20:45 IST, featuring an exciting rematch between the defending champions MI Emirates and Capital cities of Dubai.

Tournament overview and participating stars
The third season of the International League T20 (ILT20) runs from January 11 to February 9 and will feature six franchises competing in a double round-robin format. Each team will play every other team twice during the group stages. The top four teams will advance to the play-offs, culminating in what is expected to be an exciting final.
This season’s tournament boasts an impressive line-up of international cricketing talent. Notable players include Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooram, David WarnerSam Curran, Sikandar Raza among others. The franchises have retained several key players while also bringing in new talent to improve their squads.
