Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo examines her exclusive interview with President Donald Trump and his explanation for the latest negotiating tariffs.
In an effort to provide clarity in relation to his latest Tariff negotiations, President Donald Trump explained why he approved another one -month break at 25% collection in Canada and Mexico.
“I wanted to help Mexico and Canada to some extent. We are a big, big country, and they work with us a lot of work, while in our case it is much less significant. We are with Canada with Canada. And I wanted to help American car manufacturers by April 2, it becomes all of a story,” Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive interview.
“But this is in the short term. And I felt it was for the good of American car and USMac manufacturers … I thought it would be fair to do,” the president continued. “And so I gave them some break for this short time.”
Trump announced on Thursday that they will exempt most of the goods From Canada and Mexico covered by the US-Mexico-Kanade agreement (USMCA) from its 25% tariff for the next month.

The tariffs came into force earlier this week and now they were to be returned on April 2. After Trump brought them, Canada also said it would set up reciprocal, retaliated tariffs on the USA

“Tariffs could grow as time passed, and they could go up,” Trump spread with Bartiromo.
“For years, the Globalists, the great globalists, have taken off the United States. They have taken money from the United States. And all we do is to return something, and we will treat our country honestly,” he added.
“Big money shows,” co -organized about the tariff strategy of President Trump, and what it means for economics and US consumers.
As part of the first day of the initiative, Trump said that the tariffs would be housed on US trade neighbors after declaring the death of a fentalic national emergency.
He said the drug passes from China to the United States via Mexican and Canadian imports.
