Manchester United had to settle for Remi 1-1 in Real Sociedad in their Europa League circle of 16th first leg after Bruno Fernandes gave a handball penalty.
Fernandes’s handball in the box turned the match on his head after Joshua Zirkzee in United deservedly placed in advance after the break, and Mikel Oyarzabal turned from a place to equalize the tie to Old Trafford on Old Trafford.
The Europa League is the latest real hope that it will save something from this season to forget, and although the draw on the road in Europe is reputable, it will feel disappointed that they have not taken the lead to Manchester.
Ruben Amorim had his chances in the first half, because Fernandes saw that a shot was cleaned from the line, and Diogo Dalot failed to install the Ball of Rasmus Hojlund in a box of six meters.

Amorim’s perfect record in this competition is closer to the end, but he can take a little confidence in the other leg after his side produced an improved effect and caused problems to Sociedad.
