More than 300,000 real estate without electricity is like the edges of the tropical storm closer to the eastern coast of Australia, throwing the region with heavy rain.
The Alfred Storm was demolished from the cyclone to a tropical low, but local authorities warned that the threat it represents “is not over”.
The violent winds have already knocked down trees and transmission lines, and the roads are flooded in low areas as the storm approaches the fall. It is predicted that Alfred will hit the coast near Brisbane before later on Saturday moved further inwards.
Tens of thousands of people were said to evacuate the stormy paths, while others were invited to stay indoors.
Four million people across Queensland and northern new southern Wales are in the shooting of a storm, with dozens of weather warnings in both areas.
Emergency service services say they work with energy companies, after some residents said they can be without electricity for days.
About 287,000 customers are interrupted in Southeast Queensland, according to Energy Energy provider, while Essential Energy said that more than 42,600 homes and businesses in Novi South Wales have experienced disappearances.
People in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, went to bed on Friday, attaching to strong winds and heavy rain.
They woke up on Saturday to find out that the cyclone had been demolished and that the city would escape from the worst time.
But the danger is not over in other parts of Southeast Queensland and northern new southern Wales.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that “the worst was yet to come,” and along the Golden Coast, which has been pierced by bad weather in the last few days, the conditions are still quite extreme.
