“I want to thank Coach Keatts for his contribution to NC State and for the always presentation of the University with class,” said a statement from Corrigan. “He will always have a valuable place in Wolfpack’s history for the achievements of his 2023-24 team and appreciate the passion he brought to this role. We wish him and his family the best in the future.”
Keatts described the “dream come true” for the last eight years.

“While we are entering this new age of college sports, I wholeheartedly believe that I leave the program in a better position to succeed than when I started – and that the basketball program will continue to progress when supported at the level needed to compete,” Keatts wrote in the post on social networks on Sunday.
Keatts went 151-113 in NC, including 69-84 in the ACC Play. His teams earned three NCAA Tournament Offers, the last arrival when Wolfpack followed a five -game ride in five days until his first title of the ACC tournament since 1987, with a fair running to the first final four of the program since the late Jim Valvano led the “Heart Package” to the 1983 NCAA.
