Luke Littler faces Luke Humphories at Darts Premier League: ‘This is probably the best I’ve ever played’ | News Darts
Littler Littler faces Luke Humphries in the quarterfinals of the Six Six in the Premier League on Thursday, while the main two in the world go to Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena.
Humphries and Littler won four of the introductory five nights between them, and Humphries currently took a two -point lead against a teenager at the top of the table.
But Littlel has been claiming a hat-trick title over the past two weeks. He followed his UK Open Triumph, winning the Night Five title in Brighton last Thursday, before retaining his Belgian Darts Open Crown in Wieze on Sunday.
His incredible victory in 19 games eventually ended up at the player championship on Tuesday, but only after he an average of 122.93 against Damon Heta, after landing earlier during the day on nine Darter.
“I’ve always been convinced of my own ability,” Littleler said. “The way my darts go in a minute, that’s probably the best I’ve ever played on a consistent basis.
“That is why I can find these additional gears and dig up from trouble when I need.
“I said at the beginning of the year, if I didn’t win anything all year, I’m still a world champion. In a minute I enjoy my darts.”
Humphries also enjoyed the great start of the season, recording nightly victories in Belfast and Exeter to establish a tampon of eight points in the race for play-off qualifying.
Littleler threw out Humphories to triumph in Glasgow’s night two decisions, but the world no. 1 revealed that it resulted in Exeter, ending up running six direct defeats of the Premier League of the Young Phenomena.
Humphries then inspired Rob Cross at five quarterfinals last week, despite being in the early stages of their last eight meeting on his first television nine Darter.
“I was really pleased to have hit nine Darter last week, but Rob played a fantastic game to win me,” Humphories said.
“I’m in a good position, but I’ll still have to work hard to pick up these victories.
“I have Luke this week and then Michael [van Gerwen] In the quarterfinals next week.
“It will be difficult, but I know I have credentials to win them both. I hope to get a few more points this week and stay at the top of the table.”
