An Indiana woman Who was found alive in his car six days after collapsing him into a ditch managed to survive using a hood for drinking water, her family and police say.
Brieonna Cassell, 41, from Wheatfield saved a local “hero” on Tuesday after noticing it while performing drainage in Brook, in the northwest part of the state, According to the Sheriff Office of Newton County.
“She fell asleep and turned off the road and walked into a very large, deep bright. That couldn’t be seen from the road,” WLS quoted Cassell’s father, Delmar Caldwell.
“She used her hood and pulled her to drink water, trying to survive,” he allegedly added. “She was in painful pain. She screamed for help. She could hear cars passing, but they couldn’t see her off the road.”

AND NEWTON SHERIPA Cassell was said to have been the subject of a missing person’s report for the last 6 days “before her discovery.
“A passerby, Johnny Martinez, managed the deyoung drainage equipment. When Martinez housed the vehicle, he contacted his supervisor, Jeremy Vanderwall, who accidentally is the Morocco Fire Chief,” police said.
“Martinez and Vanderwall checked the vehicle and found that Cassell was the only tenant. She was aware and speaking,” he added. “Despite her injuries, Cassell survived for 6 days waiting for her to save her. She flew to a hospital in Chicago.”

Cassell’s family said she suffered complex fractures and leg injuries, according to Fox32 Chicago.
Newton Shannon Cothran Sheriff said Cassell’s survival story shows “incredible proof of her will to live.”
“We are grateful for all the good wishes that sent her the way,” Cothran said.
