Black Lives Matter Plaza Down to DC
Construction workers began to dismantle the Black Lives Matter plan near the White House after threat of Republicans on Monday to reduce transportation if Plaza was not renamed.
“You can dig a concrete, but you can’t delete history,” said DC resident Dianne Bradley.
Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser changed the name of Plaza 2020. To Black Lives Matter Plaza, as President Trump’s reproach, who has deployed thousands of federal troops to the city to counter the people who protested by George Floyd’s murder by a police officer.
The renaming criticized the local chapter of the global network of Black Lives Matter, which called it “a performance distraction from the actual changes of politics.”
