SC Miller Pastor’s husband used the church as a “sexual playground”: a lawsuit

A new lawsuit was filed against Pastor of South Caroline Whose wife Mica Miller took his own life last spring, and his father, accusing men of “sexual abuse and predatory behavior” and the Church using the “sexual playground” for decades.

In a lawsuit received by Fox News Digital, he claims that John-Paul Miller, who is now 45, attacked a 15-year-old girl in 1998 while he was at a Sunday school at Miller’s father’s church.

“For years, John-Paul Miller and Reginald Wayne Miller presented themselves as pious religious leaders. They built their reputation in the community of Myrtle Beach and beyond as people of faith, dedicated to the spread of the word of God and the training of future church leaders. But that picture was a lie,” the appeal said.

The appeal of 43 pages accuses Miller, then 19, of taking the girl to his father’s office at the church of all nations before forcing her outside and sexually attacked in his truck.

The woman, who now lives in Indiana, is identified as “Jane Doe” to avoid the risk of “humiliation and shame”, according to the appeal.

At the time of his alleged attack, John-Paul was “known to his father, church leadership and members as a problematic individual with a history of reckless behavior, including previous legal troubles, a child born out of marriage and a pattern of misconduct,” the lawsuit said.

“Behind their religious facade, John-Paul Miller and Reginald Wayne Miller have joined sexual abuse and predatory behavior-often targeting minors. They used their power positions to manipulate and use vulnerable victims, concealing their actions from the public,” the appeal continued.

“According to information and beliefs, this deception protected them from the supervision of the law enforcement, allowing their lack of behavior to continue unproven.”

Years after the first alleged attack, the same woman reported that she had personally met John-Paul while traveling to Myrtle Beach with a friend in 2023. John-Paul allegedly leaned over to hug her “and push her hand down his pants, touching her genitals without consent,” the appeal said.

Woman and John-Miller then entered a fierce quarrel when he later tried to use a letter from the Bible to justify the attack, quoting, “No one is without sin and temptation. God understands it.”

“This church was a sexual playground of JPM,” the appeal reads.
