NATO -DEFAGE Secretary -General Jens Stoltenberg will become the next Minister of Finance Norway, The government announced on Tuesday.
Stoltenberg led the Western Military Federation 10 years before he stepped down in 2024 and handed over the reins to the former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
The new position of Stoltenberg in the Norwegian Minister of Finance is part of the redirection of the cabinet announced by the Government on Tuesday morning, followed by the collapse of the ruling coalition of the Norwegian last week due to the struggle over the EU energy directives.
Stoltenberg, a member of the Norwegian Labor Party, is a veteran of the political establishment of Norway and Europe, and has previously acted as the Prime Minister of Norway twice, from 2000 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2013.
Stoltenberg will serve under the current prime minister of the country, Jonas Gahr Støre.
