NEW DELHI (Reuters) – India’s industrial production rose in November to a six-month high of 5.2% year-on-year, government data showed on Friday.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected growth of 4.1 percent.
Manufacturing rose 5.8% in November, electricity production rose 4.4% and mining activity rose 1.9%, the data show.
In October, these sectors grew by 4.4%, 2% and 0.9%, respectively.
Industrial production rose 4.1% in the April-November period, compared with a revised 6.5% a year ago.
