Dejan Kulusevski defends Boss Tottenham Ange Postecoglou and says that each side would fight the crisis of their injury | Football news
Dejan Kulusevski defended the main coach of the lower fire Ange Postecoglou and said that the Spurs “pay the price” because they do not have enough players available.
The Spurs sit in 15th place on the Premier League table after Sunday’s loss from Leicester 2-1 extended a seven-game victory, but Kulusevski insists that their crisis is injury to the reason for their bad results.
The Tottenham list of injuries has been stretched into double numbers in recent weeks, leaving them with a individual for a hectic running of fixing while competing on four fronts.
Speaking on the eve of the Europa Europa League meeting with the Elfsborg, during which the Spurs would look to seal your passage to the last 16, Kulusevski admitted that the PREMIER’S PREMERSA Form was “very bad”, but insisted that the context of their list of absences was crucial.
“Opinions are changing,” he said asking a recent criticism of managers and players.
“I don’t listen to anyone because I know the truth and I see the truth for my part. It doesn’t matter what people say. In fact, it never was.
“The league is very bad, and the game on Sunday it was difficult to lose, but you have to stay clear and focus on the goals.
“We made a mistake, don’t get me wrong. We made a lot of mistakes.
“But we are 11 players, or 10 players, in four competitions. It’s not okay and that’s why the team pays a price, especially in the league.
“You can see the manager, you can see the players. But I think it’s bigger than that. That’s all involved.”
He continued: “We play three games a week with nine or 10 players. That’s all I have to say, it’s nothing more than that.
“I think everyone has to look at the picture and wonder how we came so far. That’s it.
“Yes, I’m saying that,” he added when asked if the team was not big enough.
“We are 11 players playing three games a week over a long period. I don’t see any other team that does. That’s the only thing we should look at.”
‘Ange is a real man for spurs’
Kulusevski added that postecoglou is a real man who will lead Tottenham through this difficult period and agreed with the claim of his manager that the Spurs can still achieve “something special” this season.
“Yes, I agree with him,” he said. “Three cups, we are very much going in our cups. I think we can do big things in the last four months.”
Asked why postecoglou is a real man, Kulusevski added: “Since we had games in which we showed perfect football and football that can’t play many teams in the world.
“We played beautiful against (Manchester) United, City Away 4-0 and yes, we’re behind him.
“I have to fight for him because I believe that football. Yes, he’s a real man.”
Ange: The pressure does not affect me
Postecoglou, meanwhile, insisted that he is not affected by recent supervision about his future, saying that instead he is focused on turning their form in the Premier League and continues their search for silver attachments at the Cup competitions.
“That doesn’t affect me,” he said. “Never and never will. My gaze on my role has never been a self -preservation, but a attempt to achieve.
“I’m still in a position where we can do this. You suggest that there is a comment at this point, which is not surprising given the place of our league, but I do not have to respond or get involved.
“I don’t care, it doesn’t affect me. What is important to me is the preparation for tomorrow’s game.
“We are in the splendor that we are still achieving something really special this year. I will burn everything in the club not to lose sight of the fact that the possibilities are something special if we work on the road if we work on our way through it.”
Postecoglou revealed that Micky Van de Ven would return from the knee injury against Elfsborg, but James Maddison is facing two to three weeks going out with the course.
Pope Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouum are also available to deal with Elfsborg, but Cristian Romero will return only after Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Brentford, live to Sky Sports.
