A long drive into a beautiful morning – BionicOldGuy

Yesterday I headed south on rural roads east of Morgan Hill through San Martin to Gilroy. I was lying in a supine position with electrical assistance. The wind was light so I managed to maintain an average speed of under 20 mph, an exhilarating fast pace. This covered 27 miles in just over 90 minutes. I enjoyed seeing our green hills from the recent rain.

We are lucky that our vegetation up here in the north is not so dry. Our friends down south weren’t so lucky, it’s a lot drier down there and there were strong Santa Ana winds blowing warm dry air that made the fires worse. I don’t personally know anyone who has lost a home, but we think of those who have. Firefighters from here came down to help, just like SoCal firefighters have helped us in the past. We’re all in this together.
