Recumbent Circus Riding – BionicOldGuy

Today I rode with my recumbent group on the Coyote Creek Trail. I met them in South San Jose and rode with them. I was a little late getting out so I drove the Monterey Freeway to the start. This is not as scenic but more direct, and I had the wind at my back, so I flew up at 21 mph. We returned more leisurely along the path, with beautiful scenery and weather. We had lunch at Morgan Hill near the southern end of the trail. They continued back to the start in South San Jose where they parked, but I had just gone home from a lunch spot. I call it the recumbent circus because all the tricycles have colorful flags to make them more visible, and when we ride, it looks like the circus has come to town. This is a nice group, all elderly people like me, with various ailments (one was rehabbing from a recent knee replacement), but that didn’t stop any of them because they all have tricycles and electric assistance.

I bet we were the weirdest thing that dog saw all day
Mine lying on the rest area next to one of the tricycles
Santa on his boat near where we went for lunch. This is actually the float that appears in the Morgan Hill parades
