The Trump administration has repeatedly stoned the federal judge on Monday, seeking answers to whether the government has violated his order for banning the deportation of more than 200 not -cinians without an appropriate procedure, escalating the conflict that threatened to become a constitutional crisis.
At the Washington Federal District Court, the lawyer of the Ministry of Justice refused to answer any detailed questions about flights of deportation in El Salvador, which took place over the weekend, claiming that President Trump had a wide authority to remove immigrants from the United States under the vague law on war known as the Law on Out -of -the -art Enemy.
Tensed and back in court between Judge James E. Boasberg and lawyer of the Ministry of Justice, Abhishek Kambla, left an open possibility of further conflict down the path.
Judge Boasberg ordered Mr. Kambla to inform him by noon on Tuesday, at which time the Government believes that his command stopped flights of deportations into force, information that would be crucial because the judge seeks to determine whether Trump’s administration aroused his authority.
The legal battle over the removal of immigrants was the latest – and perhaps the most serious – Flashpoint, still between the federal courts, who sought to suppress many recent executive actions of Mr. Trump and the administration that was repeatedly approached to openly refused in accordance with court orders.
Earlier on Monday, the so-called border emperor of Mr. Trump, Tom Homan, presented defiant remarks on television, indicating that the administration planned to continue such deportations despite the order of the court-which could score one of the Koequal Government branches against another.
“We don’t stop,” Mr. Homan said on Monday, during his appearance at Fox News. “I don’t care what the judges think – I don’t care what the left thinks. We come.”
Mr. Homan defended the decision of the administration to fly more than 200 immigrants in El Salvador over the weekend, including the individuals identified by the Government as members of the criminal gang for a moment de Aragua. He added that the public should expect more flights of “every day”.
As the Washington hearing began, Judge Boasberg said he did not intend to decide on merit if Trump’s administration was correct in his decision to deport the immigrants.
Instead, the judge said, he just wanted to discover the summer lane of flights to determine if they had violated his verdict.
But Mr. Abhishek repeatedly refused to say anything about flights, citing “national security.” He simply repeated the State of the Government that he did nothing to violate the command of Judge Boasberg.
Even before the hearing began, the Ministry of Justice’s officers tried to cancel him, writing Judge Boasberg at a late afternoon to tell him that there was no point in coming to court because they did not intend to provide him with additional information about the deportation flights.
In an astonishing move, the department sent a letter to the federal appeal of the judge of Boasberg, asking him to fully remove him from the proceedings.
