I’m a runner – And runners know the value of a good start.
Many races decide these first steps from the blocks – and are they fast and strong enough to run you toward that line at the other end of the track.
In January, federal officials took the first four steps in the race to reverse the efforts on the bidet Insert men’s athletes into women’s sports.
Title IX Appeal filed against RIT for Rostering Tra -Sportsica Sadie Schreiner
The first step: January 9, the Federal District Court made the decision, abolishing the Rule of the IX 2024 title. This rule sent all states to interpret again The meaning of “sex” in the title IX – Federal law created to ensure equal possibilities for women in education and athletics – to include “gender identity”.
Chelsea Mitchell is a runner and older college fights for the salvation of women’s sports.
Step second: January 14, the House of Representatives made a proposal to prevent schools from accepting funding funding to allow male athletes to compete in women’s sports … or RIS loses that funding.
Step Three: January 31, the Civic Rights Office of the Department of Education announced that he now expects schools to follow earlier rules of IX 2020, which respects the original intent of that law by defining gender to biology, not gender identity.
Step fourth: February 5, Trump’s administration has taken a strong and key step towards restoring women’s sports to women with their latest executive commands that direct federal officials on banning male athletes to compete in women’s sports or enter women’s locker rooms.
And, the next day, NCAA – Finally – has changed her policy about it and now only allows women to compete in the women’s categories, which is another progress to achieve honesty towards athletes.
Why do I describe these efforts as a race? Because every day we delay that we correct it means another competition, somewhere, where a girl or woman athlete could lose to a man. Losing a reward … loss of recognition … loss of opportunity … Losing the honest return for all your hard work, time and sacrifice.
I know. I’m one of these women. Through four years of high school, I ran against male athletes 27 times. I lost the place and place of the podium at 22 occasions. I lost two main regional awards. I lost four national championship titles when they watched the recruits at colleges and decided who would get scholarships.
My teammates and I watched two male athletes sweep our events, the season after the season, winning 15 national championship titles that once had nine different women. Eighty -five times they have blocked runners from the possibility of progressing in the competition.
Not only was it not fair – that hurt. My teammates and I have dedicated the myriad of long hours to our sport. We kept our strict nutrition and missed many family and social activities to get to bed early, everything for competitions and victory, and earning scholarships for schools we hoped to go one day.

No wonder we were pushing back, speaking and speaking for what was right and fair. Still, every time we did it, we were labeled as bigotes and haters. Coaches, administrators and many in the media have turned the deaf ear into our concerns.
That is why the four, with the help of the Freedom Federation, decided to file a lawsuit against the Association of Schools in Connecticut, because it refused to protect us from these invoices by male athletes. This case recently got the green light that will be heard in a federal court.

With the help of brave athletes with a high profile like Riley Gaines, the media is gradually being realized that women seem great injustices that represent themselves not only our freedom and possibilities, but also to our safety. And now two more cases in which ADF defends the original meaning of the title IX from lawsuits of activist groups, I hope, under the Supreme Court of the USA.
We are moving quickly in the right direction, and with the aggressive support of Trump’s administration, my fellow athletes and I are safer than we have been in a long time for women’s sports soon, once again, to be reserved – and renewed in women.
If the US Senate will follow the leadership of the Home … If the US Supreme Court will listen and decide on the true meaning of “sex” in the title IX … If President Donald Trump can effectively use his preaches for a group support to our cause … and if will expand their policies to protect the athletes more complete during the competition and beyond, and the other sports organizations will do the same …

… This race may be referred to the winning ending. And that’s good.
The first steps are important, but in the long run – this is the most important ending.
