The US Open has expanded its main draw to 15 days, starting the day earlier on Sunday for the first start of the weekend in the open era tournament.
The United States of the Tennis Association (mouth) announced the move on Wednesday, and the change of schedule saw that men’s and female singles first rounds played the first rounds from Sunday, August 24.
The added day will allow the main approach to the main draw for another 70,000 participants or more on Flushing Meadows, after the third year of record visit 2024.
The Sunday opener will include six new marked sessions, with day and night sessions for the famous Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium.
The last Grand Slam of the Year will re -broadcast solely live Sky Sportswith coverage from Sunday, August 24 to Sunday, September 7th.

Sinner and Sabalenka enter as defenders
Janik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka will return to Flushing Meadows as veterans, both won the Maiden US Open titles when winning last year’s men’s and female singles finals.
