CNN Anchor Spars with supervisor Oklahoma for ice raids on schools: ‘Just answer my question’


Host CNN Brianna Keilar fought against the supervisor of the Oklahoma State School, Ryan Walters for his openness to potential Icy attacks on schools.

During the “CNN News Central” segment, Keilar played a Walters clip, saying at a local point of sale that he would not exclude attacks in schools if Trump’s administration thinks it is necessary.

“If this is what President Trump considers appropriate because there is an illegal immigrant population there that must have execution to remove them from schools, absolutely,” Walters said in an interview. “We will work with him to make sure it is able to implement it.”

“Do you think that would be traumatic for students in schools? And I’m talking about all students,” Keilar asked him, in response to the clip.

“My great concern is that the illegal immigration has done our education system,” Walters began. “It caused mass chaos. We are unable to get resources -“

“Can you just answer my question, please, superiors?” Keilar interjected.

She followed, saying slowly, “Do you think it would be traumatic for the students to testify to the raid at their school, and the students were forcibly removed from their school? Do you think that would be traumatic?”

Walters replied, “I think it would be traumatic if you didn’t give President Trump the information needed to maintain a family. So what you would like to just deport your parents and have children to have no idea what happened to their parents?

“That’s not what I ask. I ask you ….

Keilar repeated his question that Walters repeated his support to any Trump decision made on an immigration policy. When she interrupted him again, Walters attacked the question.

“You ask me a question, hypothetical, when we deal with …” Walters said.

“It’s not hypothetical. You made it clear that it was not hypothetical. You said it was not hypothetical, sir,” Keilar said.

“I told you about a terrorist at our school last year, and your defense would say that you would not remove it because he is a terrorist at school,” Walters said. “Of course, we will take it in accordance with the case. We will cooperate with Trump’s administration. We have death in our country from Fentanil. With that.”

Keilar closed the segment by asking Walters if he would only remove students suspected of being terrorists.

“I say we will cooperate with Trump’s administration to implement our anti-iconic immigration policy,” Walters said. “This involves giving information about students in our schools, families who are enrolled in our schools to make decisions on how to deport families together and how to identify criminals in our school system.”

The Oklahoma Education Committee unanimously voted on Tuesday in favor of the proposal for parents to report to report on citizenship or immigration status of their child. However, the proposal should be approved by the state legislative body and governor before it can enter into force.
