‘Stealing American jobs’: Anti-CCP group releases ad demanding Republican lawmakers back Trump to save US farms
FIRST ON FOX: A group focused on countering China’s influence in the United States has launched a major ad buy to encourage state Republicans to move forward President Trump agenda related to the threat China poses to American agriculture.
The Initiative to Protect America, which bills itself as a “coalition of concerned American citizens and public policy experts committed to stemming China’s influence in the states,” launched a five-figure ad buy for one minute ad set to run in key agricultural states warning of China’s push to “control America’s agricultural industry.”
“The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is buying up agricultural land all over our country,” the ad says. “Stealing American Jobs: Communist China Moves to Control the Agricultural Industry. This new war is happening right now without armies or any gunfire. Who will dominate the world’s food supply? China is on the rise.”
“We have been deceived on levels that no one has seen before,” Trump says in a clip in the ad before a narrator says, “State Republicans must step up and help President Trump fight the CCP.”

Farmer appears in the ad with a clip from a Fox News interview in which he explains that “we all feel like we’ve been forgotten here.”
“We just want Trump to keep doing what he’s doing: putting America first,” continued Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Eric Davanzo, a farmer. “Make sure America’s food is safe right here and make sure we have the land and the opportunity to produce and grow our food here.”

“Tell Republicans to stand with Trump and protect America’s food supply,” the ad reads at the end.
The ad will be placed on national cable channels, including Fox News, in the key agricultural countries Missouri, Iowa, Georgia and Idaho.

Last year, the Initiative to Protect America released a poll it said showed “an overwhelming majority of Americans are concerned about the CCP’s threat to United States national security, food security, infrastructure and higher education, and the influence on our elected officials.”
Fox News Digital reported last year that the latest USDA data shows that as of 2021, foreign investment in American farmland has grown to roughly 40 million acres. In addition, Chinese agricultural investment in the US increased tenfold between 2009 and 2016 alone.
The growing number of land purchases has raised concerns that foreign companies and investors, particularly those from China, could establish control over key US food and energy supplies.
“The Chinese national government, or some people say the Chinese Communist Party, has been working to acquire all kinds of assets, not just in the United States but around the world, to control all kinds of resources,” GOP Rep. Frank Lucas of Oklahoma he told Fox News Digital in a 2023 interview. “I would argue that, aside from the importance of national security—guns and bullets and airplanes and resources for our defense—if we can’t feed ourselves, then we’re lost.”
