Naomi Girma Transfer: Chelsea Women Agree World Record For San Diego Wave Defender | Football news
Chelsea Women have agreed a world record fee with the San Diego Wave for defender Naomi Girma.
A deal worth around £890,000 ($1.1 million) has been reached between the two clubs, breaking the current record of £695,000 ($860,000) when Racheal Kundananji moved to Bay FC from Madrid CFF.
The centre-back is expected to undergo a medical in London later this week.
Girma reported for the first day of the preseason in San Diego on Tuesday, but it appears that could be her last meeting with the club.
