Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing VADA to be the drug testing agency for the Devin Haney rematch. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) questions whether people get “some kind of reduced money for using VADA.“
Garcia refuses to VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. This means that if a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KO) is to take place, a different drug testing organization will have to be used.
If Bill insists on VADA alone, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims it’s the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, a rematch may not occur unless a different drug testing agency is used.
It shouldn’t matter to Bill which agency he uses. As long as there’s testing, that’s an important thing, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting beat up again. He looked pretty damn bad the last time he fought Ryan in 2024.
That would be bad for Haney because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and he will be beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry sooner or later when he faces someone decent.
“It’s getting really weird why it’s always VADA. Can we get some other organizations to test. Because you have Bill [Haney] pushing only VADA. He never mentions other organizations, and that’s strange [that] he pushes a certain organization. Don’t you just want any testing? All of this sounds like the people who are in favor of using VADA are getting some sort of cut of the money to get people to use VADA. It seems unethical. This is just my opinion,” said Ryan Garcia X about his wonder why Bill Haney is so adamant about using VADA for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use that organization again,” Ryan said of never using VADA again.
