Turkish stocks rose at the close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.06% Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, it rose 1.06% to hit a new one-month high.

The best performers of the session were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS: ), which was up 4.37% or 1.74 points to trade at 41.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS: ) added 3.67% or 3.80 points to end at 107.30 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ) was up 3.62% or 2.30 points to 65.80 at the close.

The worst performers of the session were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS: ), which declined 9.96% or 8.45 points to trade at 76.40 at the close. Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS: ) declined 3.40% or 2.55 points to end at 72.35 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) declined 3.15% or 5.30 points to 163.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 281 to 273, with 28 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.30% or 8.41 to $2,767.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for March delivery rose 0.07% or 0.05 to $75.88 a barrel, while March Brent crude rose 0.08% or 0.06 to $79. 35 dollars per barrel.

USD/TRY rose 0.60% to 35.65, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 37.19.

US dollar index futures rose 0.09% to 107.96.
