The match, held in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (January 21), saw India dominate their opponents, bundling them out for just 31 runs in 14.3 overs.

Vaishnava’s performance was nothing short of outstanding as she finished her spell with impressive figures of 5 wickets for just 5 runs in 4 overs including the first over. Her hat-trick marked a historic moment, making her the first Indian bowler to achieve this feat in the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. The young spinner’s exceptional control and skill was evident as she dismantled the Malaysian batting line-up with precision.
The hat-trick was achieved in the 14th over of the first innings. Vaishnavi took three consecutive wickets on the second, third and fourth balls of her last over. She rejected it Siti Nazwah, Nur Isma Dania and Nur Ain Binti Roslanwith two LBWs and a clear cone, which put her team in a strong position.

In search of a paltry target, the Indian openers made quick work of the run. Gongadi Trisha he played a scintillating knock, scoring an unbeaten 27 off just 12 balls, which included five boundary shots. Her first partner, Mr. Kamalinihe provided solid support with 4 runs off 5 deliveries. The Indian batsmen took just 2.5 overs to hit the target, sealing the win without losing a wicket.
