Celtic they are now in talks to sign a “special” player in the January transfer window, according to an update from renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.

One report claims the Hoops could sign two players in the same position outright, to pave the way for Luis Palma to leave, while the young offensive midfielder of Manchester City James McAtee has also been consistently linked with a recent move to Parkhead.
As well as Palma, there are other Celtic players who could leave this month, with Rodgers reportedly happy to let the centre-back go Stephen Welsh move on and find a new club where he can enjoy more regular playing time. Meeting again with Kieran Tierney was also discussed, and now a great news appeared concerning their pursuit of him.

Writing on X on Friday morning, Romano said Celtic have now entered into negotiations to bring Tierney back to the clubpotentially this month.
Bringing Tierney back to the Hoops is likely to go down very well with the fans, with the Scot coming in to provide major competition to Greg Taylor at left-back.
The 27-year-old’s brilliance during his first spell at Parkhead led to a move to Arsenal, after which he was named one of the most impressive full-backs in Britain. Mikel Arteta he was certainly delighted when he caught it, saying:
“I’m really looking forward to working with him and giving him a chance to play. His attitude, his commitment, his will is unbelievable. I think he’s going to bring us something special.”
Unfortunately for Tierney, he has struggled to cope with the hype, rarely being a key starter during Arsenal’s revival in recent seasons, but for that reason he must love the idea of a return to Celtic.

At 27, he still has so much to offer in his career, and if he can enjoy another four or five years in a Hoops shirt, he could cement his legendary status at the club, having already won five championships in Parkhead.
