The great tennis player Pam Shriver discovered the Grand Slam trophies, the car stolen after the fire evacuation
Former tennis star Pam Shriver revealed on Saturday that her Grand Slam trophies and vehicle were stolen after she evacuated her home due to wildfires destroyed Los Angeles.
Shriver said FOX 11 Los Angeles she evacuated from Brentwood to a hotel in Marina Del Ray when the Palisades fire broke out nearly two weeks ago. She offered a dark take on how she feels about the city after all the chaos that has erupted.

“It’s hard to feel safe in LA right now because of natural disasters, fires, crime,” she said. “I spent my first 38 years in Baltimore. I’ve spent 30 years here since then. I’m thinking about what’s my next community where I’ll feel safe.”
Shriver explained to KTLA Friday that she was trying to get back into a “normal routine” when she noticed her Dodge Durango was gone.
She said the trophies happened to be in the back of the SUV.

“For the people who do this, like come on man,” she said said to the station. “We have to come together. We have to do things like the way you see people donating, the way you see first responders, how they push through this. Let’s all feel a sense of community and help the people of Altadena and Pacific Palisades. Come on, let’s do the right thing.
“This is not the time to give people more stress or worry and lack of confidence.”
Looting is a major problem as firefighters work to contain the inferno. Authorities have arrested at least a dozen people in connection with robberies and arson.
California Governor Gavin Newsom called for robbery in fire evacuation zones to be considered a felony after prosecutors in Southern California called for stiffer penalties, Fox News Digital reported earlier.
“Preying on people at their most vulnerable is despicable, these criminals are among the worst kind,” Newsom said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Thursday afternoon.

Newsom said “robbery has never been legal here” and “will not be tolerated” as the state continues to battle the predatory inferno that broke out on Jan. 7.
