MSNBC chief Rashida Jones is leaving the network days before Trump’s return to the White House
MSNBC President Rashida Jones resigned from her position on Tuesday, Fox News Digital confirmed.
Jones announced her decision to make the call with most of the MSNBC staff, according to a source close to the outgoing boss who said the talent honored Jones on the call.
Rebecca Kutler, senior vice president of content strategy, has been named interim president of MSNBC.

Jones’ decision comes days before President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House. She led the liberal network for almost four years.
Jones will reportedly remain in an advisory capacity until March.
