JESSE WATTERS: America is reaching a turning point
Fox News anchor Jesse Watters criticized California’s leadership during Thursday’s opening monologue, questioning “who is in charge” of the response to the LA wildfires.
JESSE WATTERS: Newsom has cut the budget for water projects. He blocked the supply of water to Southern California and began to tear down the dams. He did not make a single accumulation. The last time California built a reservoir was nearly 50 years ago. Instead, they allowed billions of gallons of stormwater to simply wash into the sea. Hydrants would not be dry if they stored rainwater. LA ranks last in the West in stormwater conservation. This whole episode symbolizes liberalism. It doesn’t build anything. It just destroys.
Gavin should say I’m out of money. I’m the governor. I’m working on it. Instead, he accepts no blame… So who was in charge during the early hours of the worst fire in LA history? It’s like the White House. No one knows who is in charge there. This is so embarrassing. It’s aggravating. This country has hit rock bottom. These are the leaders we voted for. It can’t get any worse than this. The mayor cannot communicate. The governor cannot put water on the fire. That’s California politics after all.

People and businesses have been fleeing California for years. Now you understand why they have a problem with drugs, crime, homelessness. But if you’re a rich California liberal, it doesn’t touch you. Inflation does not bite. Settlers keep your lawns beautiful. Crime doesn’t walk through your door. Drive past the homeless. Your money makes you immune to liberal rule. Until now. America is reaching a turning point. We don’t have to live like this. We deserve better.
