President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he had selected the Governor of the Federal Reserve Michelle Bowman to take on the lead surveillance role of Central Bank.

The announcement comes after Michael Barra resigned from his role As Vice President of the Fed for Supervision, although the Governor of the Feda remains.

Bowman’s elevation gives Trump to someone who is seen as friendly towards the banking industry in the lead role of monitoring in the Fed. Bowman, former Bank’s CEO and Kansas State Regulator, first joined the Central Bank during Trump’s first term.
