The first memorandum of the work of Chavez-Demera invites the staff to adhere to Trump’s policies: “Let’s go to work”


EXCLUSIVE: Minister of Labor Lori Chavez-Sudemer Set the tone for her leadership at the Agency, confirming in a letter to executive staff and bosses of agencies that must be in accordance with the President Donald Trump Executive commands and work with the Government Efficiency Department (Doge) to remove waste, fraud and abuse, Fox News Digital learned.

Fox News Digital has exclusively received a memorandum Chavez-Sund Sent to a higher staff at the Ministry of Labor on Wednesday – her first official day at work.

“I am honored to have joined you as the 30th secretary of the work,” Chavez-Demer wrote. “Just with a deep sense of responsibility, I step into this role and I am excited about working with each of you to spend the agenda of President Trump and execute an important mission to the Ministry of Labor.”

“I want to take this opportunity to emphasize our mission: protect the rights of workers and ensure safe working conditions; ensure appropriate salaries for all US workers; promote employee training; improve job conditions; pre -employment opportunities for job growth; and ensure benefits associated with work, including pensions,” she continued. “In order to achieve this, we must be strong in our commitment to put American workers in the first place.”

The Chavez-Demer said that the principle “at the core of everything we do, and this leads our efforts to improve the life of workers across our nation.”

“Under the guidance of President Trump, our focus remains to promote new jobs, improve the development of labor and ensure safe working conditions, pays and pensions so that every American has the opportunity to succeed,” she continued. “I challenge each of you to actively deal with their teams to identify innovative solutions that can help us achieve our goals.”

Chavez-Demer said that the Ministry of Labor must align with the priorities of Trump administration and “must focus on practicing fiscal responsibilities, reducing unnecessary consumption and optimizing our resources to ensure the effective use of dollars of taxpayers.”

“In the direction of the President, the Ministry of Labor has already saved the US taxpayer $ 125 million, and this important work must continue to use waste, fraud and abuse,” she wrote. “I urge each of you to provide an overview of your budget and surgery and identify the savings opportunities that can be diverted to initiatives that directly use the US worker and companies that run our economy.”

Chavez-Demer said these priorities are “central to our mission and are crucial to ensuring that we serve the American people, creating an equal condition for companies, unions and an American worker.”

“Comparing to the principles of fiscal responsibility and efficiency, we can make a significant difference in the life of millions of Americans,” she wrote.

Fox News Digital learned that the Ministry of Labor canceled $ 125 million in contracts, including $ 32 million in diversity, capital and inclusion and counseling training, along with Deia -es discriminatory duties more than 100 contracts. He also extinguished internal gender ideology programs. The Ministry of Labor also canceled $ 56 million in communication support and $ 4.4 million to “modernize the policy manual”.

The Ministry of Labor has almost 14,000 employees.
