Hermoso will turn to Rubiales’ Judgment ‘forced kiss’ | Sports news

Prosecutors sought the prison sentence of former leg chief Luis Rubiales for attacking and coercion against Jenni Hermoso.
Jenni Hermoso will be invested in the verdict in the case of former football football chief Luis Rubiales, who was punished after being found guilty of a forced kiss on a women’s player who won the World Cup, her lawyer said.
“That’s her intention” to complain, lawyer Angel Chavarria said on Friday.
In a case that was swinging Spain, prosecutors sought a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for Rubiales-year-old for sexual abuse and 18 months for coercion because he allegedly put pressure on the player to reduce the incident afterwards.
Judge in the High Court in Spain on Thursday declared Rubiales guilty of sexual abuse for kissing and fined 10,800 euros ($ 11,300) but spared him a prison sentence.
The verdict also forbade him to go within a radius of 200 meters (656 feet) of hermos and from communication with it for a period of one year.
Rubiales was released for coercion for the alleged attempt to press Hermos to publicly declare that the kiss had been communicated.
Rubiales, 47, said after the verdict that he would complain.
In his judgment, the judge wrote that kissing a woman in the mouth “is not a normal way to greet people with whom there is no sentimental relationship,” said Rubiales had violated Hermos’s “sexual freedom” without her consent.
The video of the scandal that swinging Spanish football shows the then Spanish head of the Federation Rubiales that Hermos’s head tightened at a medal ceremony for women in the 2023 World Cup in Sydney and kissed her on his lips before releasing her with two slaps on his back.
Rubiales said in court that “completely safe” Hermoso agreed to a kiss as she left to receive the medal of her winner, which aired live around the world, and denied the pressure on her after the incident.
Global supervision of kiss was forced by Rubiales to resign in shame and suppress attention to the prevalence of Macho culture and sexism in sports.
Spanish Justice Minister Felix Bolanos welcomed Hermos’s “courage” after the verdict.
“We all have to be grateful to Jenni, because at a very difficult moment she took the initiative to defend the rights and freedom of women and emphasize that this society, our Spanish society, no longer allows any kind of abuse, no longer acknowledged any kind of sexual attack.” , he said.
“One thing is clear: the non -consensual kiss is a sex attack, the period,” he added.
On Friday, the court of arbitration for sports rejected Rubiales’s appeal against his suspension from football for a forced kiss, claiming that his behavior “was a multiple and serious violation of FIFA Disciplinary Code.”
The highest court in global sport added: “He has not seen the reason that the sanction is considered a disproportion.”
The FIFA World Management Body banned Rubiales in October 2023 three years of all football activities three years after the kiss of Hermos.
Rubiales, therefore, will remain forbidden football until October 2026.
