Mark Owen Owen talks to Marcus Noland, executive vice president of the Institute for International Economics of Peterson, about trade war that launched Tariff Trump. He says there is no evidence that Trump’s strategy will pay off and that the imposition of tariffs converts the United States into an ineffective ‘high manufacturer’. He adds that once they are on the site of the criminal tariff, it is very difficult to separate them.
