Arsenal’s main coach Renee Slegers has invited his side to deduct from a loss last weekend from Liverpool to Adobe Women’s Fa Cup.
The goalkeeper Daphne Van Domselaar’s own goalkeeper was enough to send Liverpool to the semi -finals after a narrow battle at Meadow Park. So now we want to look forward to, and this is a very important game against Everton in the league on Friday, and we know we are still active in the Champions League.
“The big month is coming to us. We have two competitions where we are still active and want to push ourselves into everything and go and get silver accessories, because it is very important for the club.”
The Srager mentioned that the disappointment of the FA Cup would act on the motivation of her part, moving to the business end of the 2024/25 season.
“You could see the player’s response, they were very disappointed and they want more. So, I see it in a positive way, because I think that emotions and that frustration can lead to motivation. The girls are determined to show something better, and I am,” she said.
“It is important for us to solve the problem ahead in the games, and we can all agree that we failed last Sunday. Then it is about what we have to focus on and emphasize the move forward. We have to leave emotions from last Sunday behind us and look at it more objective and constructive.”
Gunner are now traveling to Walton Hall Park to face Everton at WSL. The last meeting between the two sides was a closely controversial game, ending in drawing 0-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Everton has enjoyed a improved form in recent weeks, winning three of the last four WSL games.
“They exchange between the system. It seems that Brian tries to make it to play them into force and adapt to the opposition. So, I think it is the right strength and they got it right now,” Slegers analyzed the opposition.
“I think they switch well between aggressive press. They recognize when they want to press as a team, but they are also very comfortable and disciplined when defending their own goal and ending up in a low block. So, I think it’s the strength of them, and I think we have to try and break it on Friday.”
