Pope works on a signature reform from the hospital because lung recovery continues
Pope Francis entered in Fifth Hospital Treatment Week for Double Pneumonia On Saturday, he watched in advance as he continued to work on his papacy’s priority, and the signs of his recovery remained in the positive trajectory.
Working from Gemelli Hospital, Francis approved a three -year procedure for implementation and evaluation for his reform project aimed at making the Church a more comfortable and more distinguished place. The Vatican Office for the Synod or Gathering of the Bishop has announced a schedule until 2028 for the implementation of reforms and said Francis approved the calendar last week.
On Friday, the Vatican announced that he would less often provide medical updates by the Pope, in what he called positive development. He also stopped betraying short morning tips that the Pope slept well and started his day.
Doctors said this week that the 88-year-old PontiF is no longer in a critical, dangerous state, but continued to emphasize that his condition remained complex due to his age, lack of mobility and loss of a part of the lungs as a young man.
On Friday, a mass was held at St. Peter’s Basilica in honor Pope Francis As the 88-year-old this week marked two turning points: 12th anniversary as a pontif and one-month sign from him hospitalized.
Francis was admitted to the hospital on February 14 after the bronchitis that made him a speech. The doctors soon added a diagnosis of double pneumonia and polymycrobial infections (bacterial, viral and fungal).
The first three weeks of his hospitalization marked a roll of failure, including respiratory crises, a slight kidney failure and a strong cough.
However, this week’s medical updates focused on its continuous physical and respiratory therapy, as well as the rotation of oxygen with high flow through the nostril pipes during the day and at night the non -invasive ventilation mask to ensure its rest. Randgen confirmed this week that the infection was cleaned.
With a little more to apply, doctors canceled a planned medical update on Friday. The following is likely to be released later on Saturday. Doctors did not indicate how hospitalized Francis would be.
This week, the Pope participated in the Lolying Spiritual Exercises from the Hospital, for whom Vatican officials said he had meant easier working load.
The only public sign of life from the Pope from his hospitalization was a recorded audio message Thanks to people for prayers on his recovery, a weak and strenuous voice. It was played on St. Peter’s Square for believers gathered for the night recitation of the Rosary Prayer.
For the last four weeks, the traditional blessing that the Pope delivers from the window overlooking St. Peter’s Square has been published as a text.
