“It’s my last game this year and I hope, I hope, I can come back next year, maybe even better – maybe even better,” Vitale said, thanks to anyone who helped in this process.

Vitale was undergoing surgery last summer to remove Cancerous lymph nodes from his neck. Previously, he was treated with melanoma and lymphoma, and last year he had radiation treatment due to a vocal cure.

“I was, in my opinion, a miracle to really sit here with you,” Vitale continued, tearful. “I can’t tell you how much it meant to me. It was amazing. Too three years. Those four battles for cancer. I don’t want anyone. Cancer is shit.”
“I’ll tell you this, everyone who fights cancer, please listen to: always think of positive and believe and believe.”

Vitale said that Saturday’s ACC finals would be the last of the season. He had previously said that he had only been able to announce one game a week for medical orders.
“Those who ask me not to do more than 1 game a week – these are the orders of my medical team after 5 major cancer of the glacal ribbon cancer. Blessed for playing!”
