Boxing will be on the 2028 Olympics Program. In Los Angeles after years of dispute about the way he is involved in sports.
The President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said on Monday that the IOC Executive Board had approved, including boxing in the 2028 program.
The full session of MOO is still needed to make a decision to log out later this week, but this is usually a formality.
IOC organized boxing tournaments at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, and the Paris games last year after relations with the International boxers association, but said he needed a new partner on time for 2028.
Last month IOC recognized the new management body, World Boxing.
“I am very convinced that the session will approve of it so that all the world boxers have the certainty that they can participate in the LA 2028 Olympics if their national federation recognizes the world’s box,” Bach said.
Io suspended IBA in 2019 after prolonged management disputes, its finances and integrity of struggles and evaluation, and took a rare step of ejecting from the Olympic Movement completely in 2023, shortly after the world -class breaks.
Since he was suspended, Iba and his Russian President Umar Kemlev continued to argue with MOO, especially because of the female boxing rules at the Paris Olympics.
Iba said she had planned to file criminal charges against MOO with the United States, France and Switzerland last month.
