Israel in Gaza conducts “extensive blows”, a detrimental trial agreement
Israeli forces launched a big strike over the gaza belt on Tuesday, in what seemed like the first major attack on the territory since Israeli’s interruption of fire with Hamas started about two months ago.
The Israeli Defense Forces on Telegram stated just before 2:30 in the morning that the Israeli safety agency “led extensive blows to terrorist goals belonging to the terrorist organization of Hamas in Gaza’s belt.” The attack was ordered by Israeli political leadership, it is said.
Shortly thereafter, Hamas said in a statement that the Israeli government “continued his aggression” in Gaza’s belt. It was unclear whether the strikes effectively ended the fire interruption agreement between Israel and Hamas, which entered into force in mid -January.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Benjamin Netanyahu, said in a statement that he and the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, sent an army to act, stating “rejection of” Hamas to “let their hostages” and say that the militants had rejected all Steve Witkoff proposals and another US amount.
“Israel will now act against Hamas with increasing military power,” the statement said.
Mediators, including the United States, Qatar and Egypt, were involved in negotiating the following steps of the fire interruption agreement, which would include the permanent end of the war. But they made little progress, given the rooted disagreements between the two sides. Israel began to attack Gaza shortly after the attack led by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Ever since the permanent fire came into force, the Israeli army spent a number of smaller strikes on Gaza, which Hamas claims to have killed more than 150 people, at least some of them civilians. He accused Israel of repeatedly violated the trial agreement continuing military operations.
