Florida opens a criminal investigation of the Tate brothers

Florida launched a criminal investigation into British-American influences of Andrew and Tristan Tate, who flew to a country from Romania last week, where they faced accusations of rape and trade in people.

Florida’s chief lawyer, James Uthmeier, said investigators issued a search and court call order as part of the “now active” investigation.

In the United States, the brothers also face the civilian lawsuit of a woman who claims to have forced her to have sex work and then slandered her after giving evidence to the Romanian authorities. They strongly deny all the allegations against them.

Former Kickboxer and a self -written misogynist who appeared on Big Big Brother TV show, Andrew Tate has millions of followers online.

Andrew, 38, and his brother Tristan, 36, face separate accusations in the UK for rape and trade in people. They also negate these allegations.

Uthmeier, a Republican, said in Tuesday: “Last week, I sent my office to work with our partners to implement the law to do the preliminary investigation of Andrew and Tristan Tate.

“Based on a thorough inspection of the evidence, I sent a state prosecution office to commit search orders and issues calls in the current criminal investigation of Tate’s brothers.”

Brothers’ lawyer Joseph McBride announced a statement later on Tuesday about the investigation.

“Today, the Attorney General James Uthmeier threw an ethical law through the window when he publicly took a side in a current lawsuit in Florida, where Andrew and Tristan Tate sued a woman in Florida for a sophisticated plot orchestration that sex were used as a weapon to ruin his lives,” the statement was partly read.

Mr. McBride’s comments from the Attorney General called “inflammatory” and “bias.”

Tates were first arrested in Romania in December 2022, and Andrew was charged with rape and trade in people, and Tristan suspected of trafficking in people. They moved to Romania from the UK several years ago.

They both denied the charges and spent several months in home custody. A year later, in August 2024, they faced new allegations, including sex with minors and trade minors, all of which denied.

It is understood that Tates returns to Bucharest at the end of March to meet the prosecutor’s terms; However, it is too early to say whether to adhere to.

Police in England Bedfordshire are still seeking Andrew’s extradition for separate and unrelated accusations of rape and trading in people, as well as tax evasion.

In the UK, four British women filed a civic case against Andrew Tate in Visoko Court in the country, claiming that he raped and forcibly controlled them, accuses them of denying them too.

These prosecutors said it was clear that he would not face criminal prosecution in Romania and urged the UK authorities to take measures.
