Man kicks out friend in fight over food as social media erupts: ‘Life is too short’
Disagreement about the host’s cooking i food quality served to the guests caught fire on social networks, and others came forward with their views, and a psychologist’s opinion on the drama was also requested.
A person wrote on Reddit: “AITA for making my friend walk home after him insulted my cooking?”
The poster shared his story on a site known as AITA (“Am I the a-hole”).

The man, who said he was 27, said he “hosted a little dinner at my place for a few friends last weekend,” he shared in his post.
“I’m not a professional chef, but I enjoy cooking and spend hours preparing a nice meal”, he also wrote.
“Everyone seemed to like it, except my friend ‘Mark’,” he also wrote in his message.
The man said that “from the moment he sat down, ‘Mark’ kept making comments like, ‘Did you forget to season this?’ or ‘This is why I stick to takeout.'”

The man wrote that “at first I laughed, but he didn’t stop.”
The man said that “it was the final straw”.
He continued: “He ended up saying something like, ‘Dude, even frozen pizza it would be better than this.'”
A Reddit poster said “that was the last straw for me. I told him, ‘If you hate it so much, maybe you should just leave.'”
He said the friend “laughed, thinking I was joking – but I wasn’t.”
The man added: “I made it clear that he was not welcome to stay if he was going to continue to insult me.”
So apparently the friend “ended up leaving,” the man continued.

“But since he didn’t drive, he had to walk home (about 20 minutes).”
The man added on social media: “Now, a few friends say I overreacted and his expulsion was too harsh, while others think he deserved it.”
He said a friend later texted him, “you call me ‘little’ and saying I made him feel humiliated.”
The man asked the others if he was wrong for what he had done.
“You asked him to leave because he was rude to you in your home.”
The person who reacted the best to the drama wrote in the post: “You didn’t make him walk home. You asked him to leave because he was rude to you in your home.”

That same person said: “He could have taken an Uber, bus or asked one of your friends to drive him home. Sounds like he walked [out] deliberately to make it more dramatic and gain more sympathy for the situation he’s put himself in.”
Another commenter said: “I can’t stand mean people who just think nobody notices them. Lose it.”
Another person called: “Protect yourself, your homeyour expectations of respect in your orbit.”
That person added in part: “Very few, if any [your] friends will still be your friends in 20 years. People come and go from life; ‘Mark’ doesn’t sound like he’s worth the effort.”

Another person wrote that the friend was “rude and if so [the food] was really that bad, a single comment to you privately would have been enough.”
