College Football: Rubio allegedly played a role in Bill Belichick Landing UC Jobu

The legendary NFL Bill Belichick coach has received a unlikely help in search of the main coaching work in North Carolina.
State Secretary Marco Rubio was invited by former New England Patriots coach that he had advocated then Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina for a job at Chapel Hill, he states ESPN report.

“Rubio is quite closely followed by the sports world, and he called me and said,” There is a chance that Belichick would come to Chapel Hill, “Tillis Espn said.

“He said: ‘[Belichick] He wants a school with a great academic reputation and wants to try to build a program to bring them the national championship. I said, ‘Well, let me go [make some calls]. ”
According to the report, Tillis then called the leader of Senate North Caroline Phil Berger, who was initially in disbelief until Tillis convinced him.

Eight -time Super Bowla champion, Belichick left Nfl one year before returning in December because of unprocessed waters.
He entered the college football world on a lucrative five -year contract of $ 50 million to train Tar Heels. The deal also included the purchase if any NFL team should call.
The 72-year-old coach returned to the training field this week, where he revealed to reporters on Wednesday that he had an explosion.

“It’s a great thing about being a head coach – I can train anyone I want,” he said. “I can train a line, I can yell at narrow ends, I can yell at DBS, I can yell at the blows.
“I can go to any group I want and train them. And honestly, it’s a fun part.”
Belichick will make his debut on college football at home against TCU 1 September.
