Former African Union Ambassador to the United States says that the US Government’s assistance agency had a “big agenda of mixing” throughout Africa.
Far from the tragedy for Africa, the death of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in the hands of President Donald Trump’s administration should be the reason for the celebration, according to Arikan Chihobori-Quao, a former Ambassador of the African Union in the US.
Chihobori-Quao tells the host Steve Clemons that USAID does not have much to show its decades of educational and health projects in Africa and often destabilized countries under the guise of environmental, human rights or social justice programs.
And if not interested in Africa now, African leaders should not pray for better relationships, she said. “There are two tanges,” said former diplomat.
