Sachin Dev Duggal, the founder of one of the best British technological start-up builder.ai, has stepped down as its executive director, a limiting term of a Rollercoaster who runs a company supported by Microsoft and SoftBank.
A headquartered group in London, which claims he uses artificial intelligence for app development and websites, has received $ 450 million from the best investors, including Qatar Investment Authority and Insight Partners. He was praised by the British government for his role in the technological scene in the country.
Last week, the company announced that Duggal should be replaced as a boss, but that it would remain in its committee as the founder and keep the “main wizard” title.
Asked why the leadership changed, Builder.ai Said the Financial Times: “This topic has been discussed for some time, as evolution and growth of the company in service [small and medium-sized businesses] And Enterprise Customers globally, we have made a strategic change in leadership. “
FT reported last year about the multiple problems faced by Builder.ai, including what several former employees described as fast staff traffic, and some blamed the Dugal’s leadership and complaint about the company’s services and its time to provide time.
The company’s lawyers said at the time that the cases of unfortunate customers cited by FT cited the result of unforeseen technical challenges or because the buyer stopped at their project. They said that working on Builder.ai was “fast” and employees were “encouraged to respond to that environment”.
Ft also discovered In 2023, the Indian Implementation Administration appointed Duggal as a suspect in the request for an order that was related to the investigation of money in Videocon, an Indian group for home appliances that collapsed in bankruptcy in 2018.
Duggal did not appear after the call from the Administration in 2022 to witness in the investigation, because of the alleged “inexplicable transactions” between what investigators said that his company and Videocon were.
The Mumbai judge then rejected a request for a Dugagal compulsion order to appear in front of investigators. When the administration transferred its appointment from the “witness” to “suspicious”, instead managed to get an order from a court in Delhi.
Duggal complains of the order and denies any injustice. His lawyers said FT last year that the original call of the court was invalid and claimed that Duggal was still just a witness.
His replacement by Builder.ai, Manpreet Ratia, a management partner in Jungle Ventures focused on Asia, said his focus of the executive director would “ensure an effective scale, execution with operational excellence and continue with increasing values for our customers, employees and investors.”
In a statement, Duggal said: “This evolution denotes an exciting new chapter for Builder.ai. After eight years of growth, bringing fresh perspective and operational excellence is crucial for our next phase.”
